Chinese citizens traveling in groups of two or more can visit Khanh Hoa Province, home to beach hub Nha Trang, visa-free under a pilot scheme, provided they arrive directly at Cam Ranh International Airport and book an all-inclusive tour.
Детали события The visa-exemption policy took effect from Oct. 12 as part of the Vietnam-China Tourism Cooperation Year 2026–2027 and will remain in place until Dec. 31, 2027.
The exemption applies to Chinese citizens holding valid ordinary passports who join all-inclusive tour packages organized by Vietnamese international travel agencies.
Groups must consist of at least two travelers, and tours cannot exceed 30 days. They are only allowed to travel within Khanh Hoa.
Under the scheme, eligible visitors must fly directly from mainland China to Cam Ranh International Airport, about 40 kilometers from downtown Nha Trang, and exit Vietnam through the same airport.
The exemption does not apply to independent travelers, tourists without an eligible all-inclusive tour package, or those entering or departing Vietnam through other border checkpoints.
Holders of passports issued by China's Hong Kong and Macau special administrative regions are excluded from the policy.
Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Public Security have been assigned to issue guidance on implementation procedures and entry requirements.
Khanh Hoa used to be a favorite destination for Chinese tourists before Covid.
